The importance of social engagement, a workshop led by Louis Derring of Income Access, was reported as a consensus as one of the surprise highlights of the event. The important message inspired was found in Derring's urging of the entire audience to tie all marketing channels to social media.
Effective, easy ways to do that include adding “share” buttons to every page and putting up all available widgets. He also advised to prioritizing engagement in marketing engagement—focusing on getting people to click first before worrying about making sales.
More tips offered by Deering included posting content with questions or content that is controversial. When it comes to marketing, responses are the majority of time more important than the sentiment.
Asian and Latin American Affiliations
There also unique affiliate programs reported, with more affiliate programs targeting Asian and Latin American traffic, a break from the normally Euro-focused BAC event. This seems to be the result of the high volume of saturation and segmentation taking place in the European markets, as well as a move towards tax and regulation in the American market.
