Barclays Premier League: Key match for Manchester United

United take on Stoke at Old Trafford tonight at 19:45 (UK) and van Gaal is convinced they are in their best form this season.

With three wins in a row, going for number four tonight against Stoke City, it looks like Manchester United is becoming the team they ought to be. United have 22 points going into Week 14 and look to close in on Southampton for third place on the Premier League Table. Stoke lost to Liverpool last week and shouldn't pose that much a threat at Old Trafford, but with a few worrisome injuries the Red Devils need to stay on their toes tonight.

It's safe to say that Man United will be without Angel Di Maria following a harsh hamstring injury against Hull in Week 13, but on the up-side their captain, Wayne Rooney should be able to play after limping off last week. Things look good for United and Louis van Gaal is happier with his teams form more-so now than ever before, saying that last week's performance was "the best match of our season." They would be within just one point of Southampton pending the Saints lose to Arsenal, also at 19:45 tonight.

Stoke are not as healthy as they would like to be going into tonight's match and seem like they will be without Steve Sidwell, Victor Moses, Robert Huth, Glenn Whelan and Peter Odemwingie. They couldn't get it together last week and their fans are not confident in their chances tonight, but stranger things have happened especially United's inconsistent season so far.
