Quarter-finals of World Masters event take place tonight and tomorrow night.
With world number one Novak Djokovic out of the 2013 Madrid Open, Brit Andy Murray has a chance to press his claims to a rare clay tournament victory when he takes on Frenchman Gilles Simon in the Round of 16 at 8:35pm UK time tonight.
Murray, ranked third in the world, became the only British man to become a Grand Slam singles champ in the Open era when he won the US Open last year, but clay has caused him more problems than hardcourt. Simon is ranked 16th, but five of his 10 ATP tournament wins have come on clay.
Other stars to hit the court today and tomorrow as part of the Round of 16 include Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Tomas Berdych and Jo-Wilfred Tsonga. The other big night game features Djokovic's conqueror Grigor Dimitrov against Stanislas Wawrinka at 5:35PM.
In William Hill's pre-game betting odds, Murray is 1/7 and Simon 4/1 to win their match and advance to the quarter-finals. Murray is 4/9 to win in straight sets and 7/2 to win in three, while Hill offers wagers on dozens of other scenarios including Set Betting, Tie Breaks and other Match Markets.
In the tournament odds, Nadal, 4/9, leads Murray and Federer, 8/1, as the three clear contenders to lift the trophy. But with 16 left, it is also offering odds of Berdych, 14/1, Ferrer, 16/1, Wawrinka, 18/1, and at least 20/1 for all other players.
Of course, one of the greatest innovation of the past few years has been live betting, and William Hill's In-Play betting function will bring you all the action from Murray vs Simon and all the other games. Just log in to your William Hill Sports account during the game and take advantage of the updated odds to bet as they play.
