Bet Live as English Premier League OpensPublished August 17, 2013 by OCR Editor
Huge weekend of live Premier League action season kicks off Saturday.
The 2013-14 Barclays English Premier League season kicks off Saturday with seven matches and continues Sunday and Monday with three more games. All 20 teams will be in action over weekend, giving fans and punters alike to see who comes storming out of the blocks following pre-season and who doesn't.
Reigning premier Manchester United, fresh off a 2-0 win over FA Cup champ Wigan in the Charity Shield, travels across the Welsh border for a tough first-up encounter against Swansea. Their cross-town arch-rivals Man City have an easier start to the season when they host Newcastle United.
In other games, there will be a lot of interest in how the Premier League's new boys compete. Cardiff travels to London to play against West Ham, Crystal Palace faces the daunting task of hosting Tottenham, while Hull has the most difficult challenge of all - a visit to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea.
William Hill Sports will be bringing you Premier League action throughout the entire season, including title odds (current favorites: Chelsea, Man City, 9/4, Man Utd, 5/2), relegation, top goalscorer, top half finish, top London club, top promoted club, and options on who stays up, who finishes top four and more.
This weekend is all about the opening round of matches, so it's a good thing that Hill's leading online sportsbook is making its entire range of football betting options available on each match. Place a wager on match markets, goal markets, scorer markets and specials in the lead-up to the game.
If you prefer being a part of the action, then live betting is for you. Hill will be offering in-play betting on all this weekend's matches (and every match this season). Just click on the In-Play tab, select the match, and bet on updated odds on match result and other scenarios as the players are out there on the pitch.
