Bet Live on England v Ireland TonightPublished May 29, 2013 by OCR Editor
England host Ireland at Wembley at 8pm local time tonight
The last time England played Ireland, the game lasted just 27 minutes before being called off because of crowd trouble. The two arch-rivals will be hoping to move on from the drama in Dublin 18 years ago when they meet at Wembley tonight in a friendly match that both are using to prepare for World Cup qualifiers.
England are expected to come in to the game with an almost full lineup including star Wayne Rooney. Ireland enter the fixture as the underdog, but are clearly taking it seriously given that captain Robbie Keane fought hard with his MLS club LA Galaxy to be released for the game. It's no surprise, given they still have a chance to qualify for the 2014 World Cup.
The international football calendar has three other entertaining friendlies for both viewing and betting interest tonight: the United States hosts Belgium, Germany plays Ecuador in Florida of all places, while Qatar continues to prepare for their hosting of the 2022 World Cup with a home fixture against Azerbaijan.
