West Ham vs. Manchester City, 7:45pm UK time.
West Ham hosts Manchester City at Upton Park tonight for the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final. It's safe to say that Manchester boss Manuel Pellegrini can rest some of his stars during this game, since the City saw off West Ham in the first leg with a 6-0 trashing. This is less a game about the City and more about West Ham.
The great East-London club is having one of its worst seasons. Positioned 18 th in the Premier League table, relegation is not a distant word. West Ham boss Sam Allardyce said that a situation in which his team overturns the 6-0 against City is highly unlikely, but he also said that the team isn't planning to give the Citizens an easy time when they're playing at their own home:
"It is about playing a game at home and trying to win it ... you play it because you are playing at home, for pride, to try to get a result. Hopefully we can give City a really tough game and try to get something out of it."
From the spirit of things, it's going to be interesting how things will turn out for West Ham tonight and football fans are expected to have a great show.
