Bet on Euro 2016 Qualifiers: Israel and Wales Fight for Euro Dream

Israel host Wales for a fight to the top in the Euro 2016 qualifiers (kickoff 17:00 UK time).

The weekend's Euro 2016 qualifiers continue today with a fixture between Israel and Wales in Group B (17:00 UK time). The teams are currently occupying the two top spots in Group B, what makes for a very interesting meeting.

Now or Never for Israel

Israel is leading the group with 9 points, after they won all three games they played (Cyprus, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Andorra). While they were always considered a strong team with great promise, the Israelis have developed a tendency to display lackluster performances in major qualifying group stages – not this time though.

Israel's wildcard is striker Omer Damari who collected 5 goals in his name so far in the campaign, including a hat-trick in the Andorra fixture. Damari will be a big threat to the Welsh defense alongside midfielders Eran Zahavi, Gil Vermouth and Lior Refaelov.

Bale for Wales

Wales is second to Israel in the group, trailing by just one point at 8. The Welsh played an extra game as opposed to Israel: They've beaten Andorra and Cyprus but went out with draws with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Belgium. The Welsh cannot afford to lose today's game – if they do that will put their qualification fate in the legs of the other teams. A draw would be better – but Wales is aiming higher to secure a first qualification to a major tournament, something that did not happen since 1958.

Winger Gareth Bale is Wales' big man. After having faced some hard criticism following unimpressive performances for Real Madrid, Bale will be out to prove his worth against the Israelis.
