Key players could be on the move as pre-season window closes Monday

European football's pre-season transfer window closes Monday, bringing to an end another ridiculous couple of months of speculation. But while most of the headlines have revolved around Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale leaves for Real Madrid, there are plenty of other moves that could also be on the cards.

Madrid paid a world record £85.3 million to bring the Welshman to Santiago Bernabeu, beating their own world record purchase of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United for previous record Cristiano Ronaldo's move from Manchester United to £80m. This is all a far cry from Johan Cruyff's £922,000 sale to Barcelona a few decades ago.

So which other moves are on the cards? William Hill Sports is offering odds on the following seven scenarios being completed before the close of the transfer period Monday:

Fellaini to stay at Everton, 13/8 v Fellaini to leave Everton 4/9; Di Maria to stay at Real Madrid 1/8 v. Di Maria to leave Real Madrid 9/2; Torres to stay at Chelsea 1/7 v. Torrest to leave Chelsea 4/1; Baines to stay at Everton 5/6 v. Baines to leave Everton 5/6; Cabaye to stay at Newcastle 4/6 v. Cabaye to leave Newcastle 11/10; Rooney to stay at Man Utd 1/25 v Rooney to leave Man Utd 9/1; and Suarez to stay at Liverpool 2/9 v. Suarez to leave Liverpool 3/1.

In even better news for football fans, once the annual transfer merry-go-round ends, we can all go back to enjoying live football action complemented by William Hill live betting. Whether your thing is Premier League, Champions League, or anything else, they offer in-play betting year-round.
