Bet365 named operator of the year; Betfair wins prize for mobile products.
British online gambling giants Bet365 and Betfair scooped most of the pool at the recent eGaming Review Operator Awards, both taking home three awards.
Top PrizeBet365 won the main honor when it was chosen as Operator of the Year, beating out competitors from across the gambling sector including PartyGaming, 888 and Unibet. The company - which also sports betting, bingo and games websites - picked up extra awards for casino operator of the year and for best website performance.
Sports Betting WinnerBetfair, for its part, was awarded with the prices for best innovation, best mobile operator and being the best UK sports betting operator of the year.
More AwardsIn other areas, Austrian company Bwin won the award for outstanding contribution to the industry, as well as picking up the European sports betting operator of the year award.
Irish bookmaker Paddy Power won best customer relations operator, PartyGaming won best slots operator and 888 was named the most socially responsible operators.
More than 800 people attended the annual gala night, which was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall. The night was also used to raise money for London's Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, with operators donating tens of thousands of pounds to the fund.
