Andy Murray upset, while Federer looks in top form. Round Robin matches continue today at 14:00 (UK).
The quest for the ATP Championship got underway yesterday and the first matches in round robin play were exciting. Roger Federer looked excellent in his first match, defeating Canadian M. Raonic 6-1, 7-6, while Andy Murray was defeated by number five seed K. Nishikori 6-4, 6-4. Today's matches begin at 14:00 with Federer taking on Nishikori before Andy Murray tries to beat Raonic at 20:00.
Can Djokovic Three-Peat?
Novak Djokovic is the number one ranked tennis player in the world and has had an incredible season. To top it off with a third successive title would be a deserving end, but Swiss star Roger Federer has his eyes on the trophy and could pose a big problem for the Serbian.
Rafael Nadal needed to pull out of the ATP World Tour Finals, opting instead to have surgery and focus on next year. O2 Arena has proved to be the kind of venue perfect for the final tournament of the year and home-crowd favorite Andy Murray needs to begin using his home court advantage to help his poor day one form.
