World Series Game 7: Odds, Inside Information and Prediction

Many people thought that after Game 6, the San Francisco Giants would have been the winners of their third World Series championship in five years. That is until the Kansas City Royals came out of the dugout in the bottom of the second inning with their bats blazing. The Royals scored seven runs in the bottom half of the inning, in front of a sold-out Kauffman Stadium; now with the opportunity to win their first championship since 1985.

Tonight’s game will be one of the most watched sporting events of the year, as the underdog has the chance to beat the favorite.

In Game 6, Yordano Ventura put on a pitching clinic, much like Madison Bumgarner did in game 5 for the pirates. Ventura went seven innings without allowing a single run, putting the rookie all-star in the Royal’s record books.

Battle on the Mound

The Pirates will probably go with Tim Hudson to start the game, but expect Madison Bumgarner, the absolute best pitcher in the MLB this year, should make an appearance at some point. Will the Royals be able to handle Bumgarner tonight? Time will tell.

The Royals have opted to give the start to Jeremy Guthrie, whom took the Royals to the win in Game 3. Guthrie has a 3.60 ERA and has thrown extremely well against the Giants’ offense.
