Leading mobile gambling operator updates Betfair Touch, iPhone and iPad apps.
Betfair, one of the world's leading operators of online and mobile gambling, has just made some big upgrades to its range of mobile products, fresh of taking in more than $1 billion in mobile bets last financial year.
Next generation of mobileBetfair Touch, Betfair's mobile web application, has been upgraded to include improve in-play betting features, with quicker response times, enhanced search functions and of course that all-important live scores feature.
In addition, the company has updated its iPhone and iPad apps, to be acquired through the Apple store. The new iPhone 2.3 app enables deposit and withdrawal to a registered card via mobile phone, which Betfair says was introduced due to popular demand from customers who use mobile as their primary medium for betting.
The new version of the iPad app enables the user to wager on a race or sporting fixture while at the same time viewing a market and their betting position. The app also has improved identification of a devices exact location, based on GPS, as with the iPhone app.
Betfair mobile expands rapidlyAll of this is no surprise, given that mobile gaming is the most rapidly growing division at Betfair. The company boasted in its most recent annual report that it now has more than 168,000 active mobile users, more than double the previous year, and generates turnover of well in excess of $1b.
