Betsson Record Largest Ever Quarterly Revenue

Online sportsbook division leads the way for Swedish gambling company.
Online gambling company Betsson has smashes its largest ever quarterly revenue, after its taking increased by 26 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2010, the company said.
Record Sportsbook GrowthBetsson sportsbook was the main area of growth, with gross turnover more than doubling, particularly in the area of live betting where it rose by a staggering 393%. Live betting constituted more than 60% of gross turnover for the online sportsbook division.
CEO Pontus Lindwall said that the overall growth of 78% for the year in its sports betting division was proof that "today Betsson offers one of the world's best sportsbooks, and this is something players in the Nordic region, as well as in other regions, have become aware of."
Betsson Continues ExpansionThe Swedish online gaming firm continued to develop its B2B division toward the end of last year, finalizing a deal with Malta-based Realm Entertainment and setting up a software development company in India.
Launched in 2002 in both Swedish and English, Betsson today offers sportsbook, casino, live casino, poker, bingo, scratch card and other games sites with services in at least 18 different European languages.
