UEFA Under-21 Championship taking place in Israel until June 18.
The 2013 UEFA U-21 Championship kicked off in Israel on Wednesday night, with Europe's eight best youth national teams competing to see which is the best of them all.
Tournament Preview
In Group A, England began its campaign with a 1-0 loss to heavyweight Italy, while host Israel drew 2-2 with Norway. The English will still be confident of progressing through to the semi-finals, given that their remaining games will be against Israel and the Norwegians - considered the two weakest teams in the tournament.
There are only two groups, but it is quite clear that Group B is the group of death. Spain are the team to beat here (aren't they always?), but will face some heavy competition from three countries that are strong at senior and youth level - Germany, the Netherlands and Russia.
