Betting Odds for Serie A: Race for 1st Place in ItalyPublished March 2, 2015 by Sol FH
Roma vs Juventus tonight at 19:45. It is a big chance for the Roman side to gain some ground on the leaders from Juventus.
Juventus and Roma make up the first and second spot on the Italian Serie ‘A’ table respectively. Juventus is leading the way by nine points going into tonight’s match but Roma is looking to gain three points on their rivals. Juventus will have a lot on their plates tonight coming into Olympic Stadium, but the Zebra’s look strong and may be too much for the Wolves.
Roma Must Win
Roma sits in second place in the Italian league with 48 points but aside from a win two weeks ago, they have only been able to end their last five games in disappointing draws. If they want any chance of taking the Italian title, they must win tonight. “The only thing that matters is this game,'' Roma coach Rudi Garcia recently stated. “We want to return to winning.”
With thirteen games left in the season, Roma must protect their second place standing, while staying close to Juventus. Roma have very few weaknesses but have simply not bee winning games recently and hey will need to work very hard to show their fans they can still win.
Juventus have been virtually unstoppable this season losing only one game. They have the chance to go 12 points clear but Head Coach Massimiliano Allegri has been playing down the importance of tonight’s match. Perhaps only to relax his squad, Allegri has been doing a great job this year so not many question his strategy.
Juventus has won three of their last five with two draws and have found the back of the net nine times. Led by Carlos Teves with 14 goals over 22 games total, the Argentinian is still looking in great form at 31 years of age and will look to lead the Black and White’s to victory tonight.
