Betting On Sports Conference Starts Kicking-off Today

The upcoming Betting On Sports Conference is set to include some of the biggest names in the industry, who will be making their way to London to discuss all the latest developments in the world of sports betting.

Today marks the beginning of the Betting on Sports Conference which takes place today and tomorrow, 16th September in London. The conference is likely the most anticipated sports betting get-together of the year, with CEOs and representatives from most big name sportsbooks expected to attend.

Big Name Speakers

The largest sports betting conference of the year is set to have over 70 speakers over the two days as the likes of Ubaldo Baldi from Lottomatica and Valery Bollier, the CEO and co-founder of Oulala are all set to speak.

One of the important highlights of the conference will also be the Starter’s Orders panel, which will see the CEO of Gaming Economics team up with the Executive Director of SBOBet in a panel whose focus will be expert insights into horse racing betting market and the impact of Brexit on the UK market as a whole.

Bookies and DFS Teaming Up

The real main goal of the conference this year will be to create bonds among bookmakers and the daily fantasy sports sites, who have been making their way into the European market in recent years and whose popularity continues to rise daily.

Representatives from influential bookmakers and the newly founded DFS sites are expecting to do a fair bit of networking before the event is over, as it is expected that bookmakers and DFS companies will start doing a fair bit of business together in the coming years.

While the bookmakers and DFS site representatives share their ideas on how they can work together, the LeoVegas CEO Johan Styren will be introducing their latest product, the LeoVegas sportsbook and their plan for integration into the bookmaking ecosystem.

The conference, which will take place at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel this coming Thursday and Friday, will also include a panel on the latest European anti-money laundering and data protection regulations that are set to make their way into law in the coming months, with bookies getting education from the experts in the field on how to remain compliant with all the upcoming laws.
