The third annual BiG Africa Summit was attended by more key players in the Africa online gambling industry than ever before.
The 2015 BiG Africa Summit on Betting and iGaming completed yet another successful run this year at the Emperors Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa. The intensive 3-day summit included the key players in the growing African industry and featured presentations by keynote speakers, panel discussions, master classes and many of the top operators in the field.
Participants heard speeches by government regulators, lottery and casino operators, online bookmakers, and other big names in the iGaming industry. The main focus was on regulation of iGaming in Africa and the chance of the South Africa becoming an online gambling licensing region.
Plans for Licensing?
If South Africa becomes an international regulator of iGaming licenses, it could mean a billion dollar industry for the entire continent. Key brands were keen to hear about all the news, opinions and debates regarding this topic while at the summit. iGaming in Africa is a budding industry and there are already dozens of online casinos and sportsbooks therein. The market holds the potential for the biggest names in the industry and could become the premier destination for operators and sports betting providers.
Hosted by Eventus International, located in Hong Kong and S. Africa, the international event was a bridge between operators, players, exhibitors, platform providers, and more. The perfect platform for networking, summit participants were able to take their business needs further, while focusing on content intended for African players.
All in all over 200 corporate leaders, 30 guest keynote speakers, 20 exhibitors and much more. The next BiG Africa iGaming and Betting Summit is to take place from Oct. 24-26 and after the success of this years', the 2016 edition should be even bigger. Registration is already open for 2016 and with expectations for yet another key summit, attendance should surpass all previous years.
