Big Month of Sport Coming Up at William Hill

October is traditionally a huge month for sports betting at William Hill, and this year is no different as the action heats up in European football leagues and in various other sports across the globe.

The line-up is headlined by Euro 2012 qualifiers, with two rounds of matches beginning this Friday and continuing through to Tuesday the following week.

England fans will have to wait for Tuesday to see their boys in action, but it should be worth the wait as they go in to the home fixture with Montenegro as the strongest of favorites.

Other highlights in European qualifiers include Ireland vs. Russia, Czech Republic vs. Scotland and Portugal vs. Denmark on Friday, and Italy vs. Serbia, Netherlands vs. Sweden and Scotland vs. Spain on Tuesday.

In the Premier League, Chelsea is threatening to run away with the title after only seven games but there will still be plenty of exciting action. Fulham hosts Tottenham in an upcoming London derby between two teams hoping to qualify for Europe next season, while on Merseyside Everton hosts Liverpool in a battle between two traditionally strong teams hanging dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The Rugby League Four Nations also kicks off in October, pitting England, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea in a battle against one another to be crowned the world's best.

And in the cricket, Australia will attempt to turn around a remarkable loss to India in the first test when the two teams take to the field once again in Bangalore. Neighbors South Africa and Zimbabwe face each other in three one dayers in the other international action this month.
