Biggest UK Lotto Win Still Unclaimed

A massive £113 million is waiting for a lucky UK Euromillions lottery winner, but as yet the record prize is still unclaimed. This is the biggest UK lottery win ever but it is unclear whether the staggering prize money will go to one lucky winner or a syndicate.

Lottery officials are calling for players to recheck their numbers and hunt high and low for any lost tickets.

A spokesman for UK lottery operator Camelot said,"We have had people before who forget they have entered or who have lost the ticket and then found it behind a sofa or in an old pair of jeans - so we would advise people to check their pockets.' The winning numbers are 9, 30, 35, 39, 46, with lucky stars 6 and 8.

The Camelot spokesman continued,"This is fantastic news - we're absolutely delighted to have such a massive UK win.We have plenty of champagne on ice and are looking forward to welcoming the lucky ticket-holder to the National Lottery millionaires' club."

The UK was one of the first lottery operators to roll out Euromillions, which launched in 2004 and is played across many European countries including Austria, France, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

Brits have won some big lotto prize money in 2010. The biggest lottery prize in the UK prior to this weekend's draw was an£84.4million win in May. Back in March an anonymous British winner scooped £39.7 million in a EuroMillions draw.

Lady luck shines on other nationalities too. In 2007 the US Mega Millions lottery gave two lucky winners a share of an incredible £258million.In Europe, the biggest lottery win was a massive €148 million; the result of a seven month rollover in the SuperEnalotto.
