Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Kyiv Gives Ukraine a New Shine

Experts at Blockchain & Bitcoin Kyiv gleaned regional information to become global experts.

Last September 19th, crypto networking platform Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Kyiv brought crypto experts together to Parkovy CEC in Kyiv to share expertise and bring Ukraine into the global blockchain spotlight.

Ivan Delivers

Event Coordinator Ivan Sukhomlyn certainly delivered on his promises of case study information “you won’t find on the internet.”    

Two Tracks

The conference was divided into two tracks: the Innovation Hall dedicated to businesses and cryptocurrencies, and the Tech Hall featuring speakers focusing on asset tokenization, ICO’s and trading.      

The Speakers

Among the speakers were crypto experts from Ukraine and abroad, as well as financial analysts, entrepreneurs, investors, lawyers, government officials, startup founders, traders, and marketing specialists.

Representation

Smile-Expo reported that over 800 people were in attendance, listening to 40 speakers representing eight countries:  Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the USA.

Artem’s Interesting Take

Moderator Artem Afian opened the proceedings by sharing his vision for the modern state of the industry, based on the principle that negative news can be as important as positive news in bringing investor attention to the blockchain.

Expert Legal Perspectives

People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksii Mushak detailed new cryptocurrency laws under review in the Ukraine Parliament, asserting that the state will regulate fiat-cryptocurrency exchanges of cryptocurrency to prevent money laundering.

BlockBit Capital Management CIO Serhii Kalinin called the bill capable of positioning Ukraine as “one of the leading countries in the field of blockchain,” a sentiment prominent trader and Whitepaper Z founder Kir Kelevra heartily agreed with.

Innovation Hall Proceedings

One panel at Innovation Hall saw Bitcoin Ukraine Board Member Konstantin Yarmolenko estimate that one billion USD is spend on bribes annually in Ukraine, with the blockchain capable of fighting this oversized shadow economy.

Tech Hall Proceedings

Meanwhile, Tech Hall discussed how blockchain and cryptocurrencies could revive traditional financial markets, with insights provided by expert Tone Vays, a leading trader, blockchain and cryptocurrency consultant in the US.

Exhibition Floor

Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Kyiv’s exhibition floor featured technological wonders such as Hotmine mining equipment generating enough energy to heating the premises; Paytion’s blockchain-based crypto ATM; crowdfunding platform Icoyard; and the Litenett crypto payments network, with the most unique exhibit an art gallery filled with paintings dedicated to blockchain. 

Outlook

With Kyiv emerging as an early leader in blockchain development, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect for those fortunate enough to attend Blockchain and Bitcoin Conference Kyiv 2018.
