Wish Upon a Jackpot Megaways is a remake of Blueprint Gaming’s 2013 slot, Wish Upon a Jackpot. The Megaways mechanic, under license from Big Time Gaming, provides an upgrade to the original by allowing an entirely new reel setup and more winning combinations. Blueprint borrowed Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, which lands between 2 to 7 symbols on each reel per spin. When a win is scored, the symbols disappear and new ones cascade down.
Symbols include 9 to A royals and higher-paying fairytale-themed lyres, glass slippers, castles, and logos. Wins are scored by combinations of 3 or more of the same symbol, except for the logo, which only needs 2 of a kind. There are 2 wilds — a standard one and a stacked beanstalk. There is also a scatter, which is key in triggering the Free Spins round.
During the base game, the Fairy Godmother can randomly float on to the screen and award a Fairy Godmother spin. Players can choose 1 of 3 modifiers that will be applied to the spin, which include beanstalk wilds and multipliers, wilds sprinkled by 3 little pigs, and up to 100 Mystery Symbols getting added to the reels.
