Brazilian Stars Join Team 888poker

Online poker operator snaps up two rising young Brazilian pros.

Team 888poker has added two rising young Brazilian players to its list of pros, with Bruno Pereira Lima Kawauti and Nicolau Villa-Lobos both signing up in time for the 2013 WSOP Europe tournament in October.

Brazilian Poker Stars

Villa-Lobos is the son of Brazilian rock star Dado Villa-Lobos, but has quickly made a name for himself in his own field - online poker. The young star won the 2013 PokerStars' $1,050 SCOOP-Main for a first prize of more than $450k, and has collected live tournament winnings of $302 thousands since last year.

Kawauti, a Sao Paulo native, enjoyed his maiden live tournament win in 2010, but has quickly risen through the ranks to collect $543 thousand in total winnings. His highlights to date include a 15h place place finish at the 2013 WSOP Main Event and a 110 th place finish the previous year.

In Good Company

These two Brazilian poker pros are in good company, joining a Team 888Poker lineup that includes a range of poker stars and sports celebs. These names include WSOP star Sam Holden, pros Tyler Bonkowski, Jimmy Anderson, and sports stars Shane Warne, Santiago Canizares and Patrick de Koster.

Team members are more than just celebrities; they help to promote 888poker and online poker in general, and participate in important decisions. By promoting the site, they bring in more players, which improves the quality of the games and ultimately improves player experience.
