Bulgaria Emerges as a True iGaming Force at BEG Expo 2017

Entertainment adroitly supplemented innovation as BEGE came full circle.
With record high attendance, the 10th BEGE Expo came off a resounding success.
Setting the Tone
Against the magnificent audio backdrop of scores of Bulgarian national pipes and drums, over 5 thousand professionals from the industry packed excitedly into the 10th anniversary edition of Eastern Europe’s leading gaming event--BEGE Expo.
Presenters
A rousing performance by folklore ensemble set the tone for the event’s ambience as provided by the Bulgarian Trade Association of Manufacturers and Operators in the Gaming Industry (BTAMOGI) and supported by the Bulgarian State Commission on Gambling.
Attendees
Over 80 companies representing a full 20 countries networked with visitors ranging from Eastern Europe including Georgia and Cyprus, the UK, Italy, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and USA at the conference themed “Bulgaria – the technology hub of the Balkans.”
Highlight Exposition
A highlight exposition “In the world of the Bulgarian discoverers and inventors” presented the accomplishments of past innovators, while the Innovation zone revealed the region’s latest cutting-edge technologies.
Featured Companies
With the humanoid robot Sanbot doing the greeting, featured companies in the expo zone included Alberici, Ainsworth, Novomatic, Casino Technology, EGT, E-Service, Fininvest and Count-R, IBA Entertainment, BET3000, Intergames, Innovative Technology, JPL and nanoVo.
Awards Galas
The Miss Gaming BEGE 2017 beauty competition was won by economics graduate Alexandra Peyovich (Admiral casino).
The official BEGE Awards ceremony launched Day 2 with recognition hardware awarded to Zitro, NOVOMATIC, Casino Technology, Euro Games Technology (EGT), Intergames (with Konami), Interblock, Abbiati, BetConstruct, NYX Gaming Group, Advansys, Bet3000, Suzohapp, Change Italia, Innovative Technology, Quixant, Fininvest and Alberici.
The newcomers then took center stage with the Gaming StartUp Challenge. Headed by the Executive director of Casino Technology Ivan Tzankarsky, the jury honored the Zebra Digital with 1st place award for developing a new online gaming approach for engaging prospects and generating new leads.
Refocusing with Local Officials
The second day concluded with an essential dialogue between private operators and the Bulgarian State Commission on Gambling.
Outlook
BEGE Expo is entering its second decade of existence more boldly than ever, with an exhibition space already almost fully reserved for 2018 and some innovative program adaptations sure to follow.
