Expansion continues into newly regulated Italian online gambling market.

Another big-name player in the online gambling industry has entered the Italian casino and poker market, with this week's announcement by bwin.party Digital Entertainment.

bwin launches Italian casino and poker

bwin.party announced that it has launched several new branded online gaming services in Italy under three brands - bwin, Party and Gioco Digitale - after introducing cash game poker and online casino games into the lucrative Italian market.

The company said the cash game poker and casino launches come on the heels of being awarded requisite licenses by local gaming regulator AAMS. It added that it will launch more brands over the coming few weeks.

Company expansion in Italy

In addition to the aforementioned offerings, bwin already has other licensed activities in Italy that include online sports betting, online bingo and skill games - including the popular tournament poker.

Other companies have also been busy in Italy of late, as has been the case all year. Also this week, Swedish online casino software provider Net Entertainment announced that it will also launch online casino operations with Gioco Digitale. And will provide games to bwin's local casino.
