Betting Odds for Canadian Football: Montreal vs WinnepegPublished July 11, 2014 by Sol FH
The Montreal Alouettes host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers tonight in Montreal and bet365 has posted all the odds.
The Canadian Football League (CFL) regular season started 3 weeks ago in the shadow of the World Cup but for many Canadians it's the CFL that is much more important than a few soccer games. They go nuts for football in Canada and the league has produced some of the greatest NFL stars to date.
NFL vs CFL
With a few more rule and structural differences than in the NFL the CFL is the second-highest rated professional football league in the world. The fields are longer and wider than the NFL and the ball size is bigger, no pun intended.
Leading the League
The passing of the Bombers' QB Drew Willy out of the University of Buffalo has been near perfect over the first 3 games and leads the league with 615 yds. Winnipeg is playing good football this year but will need a big game of offense and defense if they are to win tonight.
The Alouettes are always a great team to watch. Their special style of football has brought the team success over the years and they are regularly either atop or in second place in the East. They are 1-1 this year and just behind Toronto due to points for/against. We are expecting big things from Montreal this year and will most-likely see a playoff berth.
CFL Online Wagering
bet365 Sports will be offering punters a chance to bet on all the CFL games this year and have a number of lines available for each game. The main markets include outright winner, point spread, game totals, and Money line but anyone can request a bet from the 24/7 customer service department at bet365.
It'll be a great game in Quebec and the stadium should be full to watch the beloved Alouettes vs the Blue Bombers.
