Week 7 of Canadian Football League Action tonight featuring a crucial game between the Lions and the Alouettes live at 00:00 GMT.
If you are hungry for your Football fix and cannot wait for the start of the NFL season, the CFL is the second best league in the world. Tonight features two of the biggest teams in the league, as the BC Lions travel to Montreal to take on the Alouettes. The game will be played at Molson Stadium and the Alouettes are expecting a good fan turnout to help them over the second place Lions.
After 7 weeks of play the Lions are off to a decent start at 3-2. All three of their wins have come on-the-road and they hope to challenge the Calgary Stampeders for top spot in the West. At the helm, Jonathon Jennings is completing 60.7 percent of his passes for a respectable 1,411 passing yards. He has thrown seven touchdowns and only three interceptions. Six of his TD passes have come in the last three games and it looks like he is coming into his form this season. The major reasons for his success at QB is due to his excellent receivers in Shawn Gore and Bryan Burnham, whom have combined for over 700 yards and three TD's. Emmanuel Arceneaux is also an incredible target, bringing in 26 receptions so far this year. On the ground, the Lions are around 100 yards per game and Anthony Allen leads rushing with 194 yards.
The Alouettes have started the season a bit slower than they had thought in the off-season. They are currently in last place in the East at 2-3. The bright side to all of this is their QB Kevin Glenn, who is passing at 72.8 percent. He has 1,175 passing yards, five TD's and only three interceptions. The rough patch for the Al's is their defense, who are giving up an average of 380 yards per game and 21.2 points. Bear Woods leads in tackles with 34, but they rest of the D needs to wake up.
