CGS 2019 showed off all the potential of Cyprus' unlimited new market for 2019!
The Event
Concluding May 21st, the 3rd annual CGS at Hilton Nicosia in the island capital featured
key operators and industry stakeholders who brought together valuable insights via keynote presentations, panels and a myriad of networking opportunities.
Big Players
The third edition of CGS paired major operators such as Megabet Plus and Parimatch with
software providers, payment solutions service providers and further big name stakeholders including BetConstruct, Digitain, ECOMMPAY, Digital Choo, Quazard, Uncharted Gaming, Infocredit Group, Russian Media Group and others.
The New Region
The event gave all attendees a foothold on growth in the emerging Eastern Mediterranean gaming market, with Eventus MD Yudi Soetjiptadi expressing hope for continuing the growth of the “iGaming market in this region for the years to come.”
Proceedings Summary
The proceedings blasted off with a legendary warm welcome from event chair person David
Schollenberger, who is also Director of Policy and Compliance for Cyprus National Gaming &
Casino Supervision Commission.
Schollenberger set the tone for the conference by highlighting the key challenges and opportunities in the Cyprus market.
Further presentations included Chief Executive of Cyprus National Gaming & Casino Supervision
Commission CEO Nick Tofiluk's kick off presentation on strengthening Cyprus’s
national gambling framework and Cyprus National Betting Authority Chairwoman Ioanna Fiakkou's welcome remarks on the future landscape of the local industry.
After Sibilla Solutions CEO Andreas Matsas moderated an interactive panel discussion on the ICR benefits to Cyprus’s economy, CGS Day 1 ended with an exclusive networking cocktail reception hosted by Eventus!
Day 2
Day 2 continued with 1710 Gaming Principal Consultant Christina Thakor-Rankin welcoming back CGS attendees of CGS; a panel on gender diversity in the gambling industry; and a discussion on implementing practical aspects of compliance and AML/KYC.

Outlook
With the momentum forged at CGS 2019, 2020 can only be better. Special offers are being extended this month for the 4th annual show next year at Nicosia for 2020, making this the ideal opportunity to get a foothold in Cyprus.
