Champions League Match of the Night: Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

Can Arsenal beat German superpowers Bayern Munich in tonight's Champions League match? Find out at 20:45 GMT.

Arsene Wenger is convinced that his side will defeat Bayern Munich tonight at the Emirates. This Group Stage matchup is one of the most highly anticipated of the night at all eyes will be on the Gunners to see if they can shock the odds makers and pull out an upset at home. Good news for Arsenal, Alexis Sanchez, Petr Cech and Mesut Ozil will be on the pitch and are at 100% for the match.

Fans will be happy that Cech is back in the goal, after being replaced by David Ospina, which was a factor in Arsenal's embarrassing loss to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos. Arsenal are currently in last place in Group F, but could bounce back into the competition with a win tonight. However, Bayern stands in their path and the way that the German squad is playing, it will be far from easy pickings.

This will be the fifth time that these teams meet each other in Champions League competition since 2013. The Gunners have been knocked out twice by Bayern over those same years, but did beat them 2-0 once. If Arsenal does not win tonight, they will not be able to make the Knockout stage and will find themselves in the Europa League. With wins in the Premier League over Manchester United, Leicester and Watford, the pressure that was on Wenger's shoulders has been lifted a little bit, but losing to Bayern tonight will leave him and their management questioning his ability to win crucial matches.
