Seeing Bayern Munich lose at home is a rare site, but Real Madrid is one of the few teams that have accomplished this feat. Robert Lewandowski has not played since April 8. The Polish striker had scored 38 goals in 40 games for Bayern, but a shoulder injury kept him on the sidelines for the last ten days. He was seriously missed in the first leg, but his return will be welcomed for Bayern, especially with their weakened defense. Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng are both out with injuries and Javi Martinez is out after being sent off in the first leg, so Real could have an easier time reaching the Bayern goal.
Real will also be without one of their stars, as Gareth Bale will miss tonight's match after picking up an ankle injury in the first leg. Bayern do not have a good away record against Real losing eight of their last ten matches in all competitions. The last time that Bayern beat Real at Bernabeu was back in 2001. If Real can successfully advance to the semifinals tonight it would be a record for the team with seven semifinals appearances in a row.
