Come Wednesday 10 September, key individuals and operators for the global gambling industry will be travelling to London to attend the BiG Sports Dinner. The central purpose of the event is to raise funds to help improve the lives of sick, injured, and terminally ill people. Entertainment and awards will also prove to be strong lures that evening.
A Lavish Evening
Attendees of the black tie event will be greeted with a drinks reception before sitting down to enjoy a three-course dinner accompanied by a selection of fine wines. Street illusionist Steven McGuinness will provide entertainment to guests. Austin Healey, former rugby player for Leicester and England, will host the entire evening. Various other sporting stars will also be in attendance and situated among the crowd.
Awards to Come
A number of awards have been planned for the evening, and a special panel of individuals from the sporting world will judge these. Among the multiple awards to be won are two standout categories: Best Sports Betting Campaign and Best Use of a Sporting Star in a Betting Campaign. The winners of these awards will receive considerable recognition from their peers.
Auction and Raffle
The auction and raffle portion of the evening will give attendees the chance to acquire specialist sporting memorabilia that they won’t be able to get anywhere else. Experienced TV sports presenter Jonny Gould will lead the proceedings. Sports fans will be hoping to see autographed shirts up for grabs.
Arranged by the BiG Foundation
The BiG Dinner is arranged as an annual event by UK charity the BiG Foundation, which was established by Richard Hogg and David Dixon. Although having only been in operation since 2013, the organisation is already making a difference in the lives of underprivileged people. This year’s BiG Dinner has even managed to obtain sponsorship from leading software developer Microgaming. All signs point to a fantastic evening.
