Expanding Efforts
But Microgaming didn’t stop there; it went on to position the building blocks for self-regulation in the online gaming industry, and it has worked hand in hand with regulators ever since in jurisdictions throughout the world.
Organisational Coordination
Microgaming has been implementing the foundational infrastructure for responsible gaming, monitoring and protection industry-wise, including specific efforts such as a founding role in eCOGRA (e-Commerce and Online Game Regulation and Assurance), which has emerged as the most respected independent authority for the monitoring and maintenance of responsible gaming practices in iGaming.
Continuing Support of eCOGRA
Today, Microgaming continues to support eCOGRA's work through providing the agency with software, and working on further initiatives.

Health and Care Initiative
Established in 2002, the Microgaming Health & Care Trust was established by Microgaming, as the Microgaming Hospital Trust. The name change in 2009 expanded with the role and reach of the organisation, from providing financial support for Noble’s Hospital to assisting Manx-registered charities as well as other socially productive health and social care projects isle-wide.
Efforts to Date
As the sole benefactor, Microgaming has donated more than £800,000 to date, with a large portion of those funds used to pay for medical equipment, with the rest disbursed to over 50 local charities for various demonstrated needs.
