Chelsea vs Man. City: Premier League Matchday 31 Highlight

The Blues host City tonight at 20:00 GMT and a lot up for grabs for both teams.

It is the match that we have all been waiting for in the final few games of the Premier League season. What could be better than seeing two heavyweight teams fighting with everything they have towards the end of the year. Well, that is exactly what we have tonight as the Blues host City at Stamford Bridge in front of a sold-out stadium of die-hard fans from both teams that want to see an action-packed game.

Last week, Chelsea was shocked at home losing one of their sole matches at Stamford Bridge this year to Crystal Palace 2-1. Chelsea have not been themselves lately, but they have not lost back-to-back matches at Stamford Bridge since 2011. That being said, Man. City are a different kind of monster and have been playing excellent soccer recently. Chelsea has not been able to keep clean sheets as often as earlier in the season going just two games out of their last eleven with a shutout. They were on a 10 shut-out in 12 games prior to that. It was almost exactly one year ago that City beat the Blues 3-0 in the same match-up last season.

Antonio Conte will be playing for the win tonight knowing that with only a few weeks left, he wants his side to stay well out in front of the table having created a gap of 7 points to second place Tottenham. The Hot Spur are also in action tonight against against Swansea City and if the win, and Chelsea loses the gap would be a mere 4 points with 28 left in the season.

City are unbeaten in the last eight matches in the Premier League. They have only won half of those games and are on a three-game draw streak, which isn't the best way to make it up passed their current fourth place ranking on the table.
