Clooney Vegas Casino Up in the Air

What says Las Vegas more than Hollywood hype? Developments for a new casino by actor George Clooney.

Although the plans were put forth some time ago it is not sure if this new casino, planned to be built in Las Vegas, will actually materialize. It seems that Clooney, along with Brad Pitt and Cindy Crawford's husband Rande Gerber plans to construct the $3 billion Las Vegas Casino complex may grind to a halt due to new uncertainty.

The original proposal, announced last summer, was looking good until recently. "When I was filming Ocean's 11 in Las Vegas, I met with Rande, who owns all these great bars, and we started talking about building a casino and how we would want to do it, which is to dress it up a bit - no shorts and tank tops after 6pm" said actor George Clooney.

The problem with the new complex has to do with other complexes slated to be constructed in the same area. There have been problems securing the necessary permits needed to go ahead and build the Las Vegas gambling complex which aims to out-dazzle dozens of other casinos that already exist in Las Vegas. Part of Clooney's vision for the new project was to establish a classy environment free of casually dressed gamblers in shorts an flip flops.
