New Open Source Poker Platform to Debut in India!
Cubeia, a software developer has announced that it plans to open up its real money online poker network in India with its partner Mirch Entertainment.
The poker network uses Cubeia Poker, an open source platform and it is one of the first poker clients based entirely on HTML5 to enter the Indian market. The flexible and responsive HTML5 client is compatible with any computer and most mobile devices, along with all operating systems and major browsers.
In addition, Cubeia Network will integrate its payment processing service as well. Thrill Poker is the first operator that is expected to go live sometime in the 4 th quarter of 2013.
Executive Vice President of Cubeia Lars J. Nilsson said he was excited about the launch of the poker network in India - it offers great potential and he believes the HTML5 client will work perfectly for Indian poker players.
Cubeia is based out of Stockholm, Sweden and provides services and systems for the online gaming and internet application industry. Cubeia's main product is known as Firebase and it is a platform that is used to operate multiplayer online games. This server was designed to hold up against high traffic for nearly every type of game.
Firebase was also designed to run on a single laptop or on a large enterprise group. One instance is able to manage thousands of players - even a small cluster is able to handle large amounts of traffic. This game server is dual-licensed - one version has an open source license and the other a proprietary license.
