The Broncos beat the Eagles 52-20, breaking their all-time record for points scored in any game in their 54-year history. They made light work of the NFL's other top offense, making good use of quarterback Peyton Manning's four touchdown throws and adding two special teams scores.
Manning, who made two TD passes apiece to Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker, completed 28 of 34 throws for a total of 327 yards. Such was his and the Broncos' dominance that he was able to take a 12-minute break in the first half and then head to the locker room early at three-quarter time.
