E-Gaming on the Isle of Man has a New FacePublished May 31, 2013 by OCR Editor
The economy is booming thanks to online casinos and a new head has been appointed.
E-gaming is a huge industry in the world today, bigger than it ever has been before. One of the biggest players in the world of E-Gaming is the Isle of Man located in the Irish Sea between Great Britain in the British Isles. The Isle of Man has less than 100,000 residents which doesn't make for a huge economy but none the less E-Gaming constitutes over 8% of the entire national economy and directly employs over 800 people. With so much on the line the Department for Economic Development has appointed Peter Greenhill as the new head of E-Gaming Development. Mr. Greenhill has over 17 years of experience in the gaming industry and his network of industry contacts is a sacred one. His role will be to exploit the major e-gaming opportunities, both enabling jobs and facilitating new growth for the Isle.
The Isle of Man has played a major role in the growth of many of the world's foremost online casinos. They act as a license for many of the best brands in the world like 188Bet, 138 Sun Game, Golden Boys Casino, Monaco Aces, Trada Casino and many more. At OCR we list all of the online casinos that are licensed by the Isle of Man which make up for a pretty huge amount of the major players in the world of online gambling.
Peter Greenhill will take the reigns in June 2013 and relates, "I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to help to build on the major contribution that e-Gaming makes to the Isle of Man economy. The Island has an unrivalled reputation for the quality of its gaming legislation, its technology infrastructure and its "can do" attitude and I look forward to moving to the Island very shortly to take up this exciting position." The hopes are all high for what a man of Peter's calibre can do to better the Isle of Man and it's focus on the online casino industry. One thing is for sure, expect for many more of the top online casinos in the world to work from the tiny Island in the near future.
