eCOGRA Enters Danish Online Gaming Market

Recent restructuring to the regulatory board of eCOGRA, a UK-based organization focused on online gaming known for its expertise in markets both old and new, have taken place to reflect the new ownership has overcome the company. More recently, in February of this year the chief executive of eCOGRA, Andrew Beveridge, has been named among the top 50 regulatory specialists in the industry by top business publication, Gaming Intelligence.

After navigating the extensive field of hurdles put in place by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, the independent testing and standards company eCOGRA has since been empowered to work within the realm of the Danish online gambling market. The exciting news came on 13 April, 2012 in London after a rigorous accreditation process. The extension issued to eCOGRA's ISO/IEC accreditation serves as a benchmark of the level of quality upheld by the organization.

Now able to perform certification and regulation for nearly one-third of Danish-licensed casino and online gaming operators, eCOGRA will serve as a substantial governing body in all five Danish certification categories, including: gambling functions, business functions, preventative measures to counter money laundering of proceeds and financing of terrorism, vulnerability and penetration testing, and change management.

As the regulatory scene and online gaming markets in Denmark as well as the whole of Europe expands, so too will eCOGRA's near ten-year presence and reputation as a top-tier regulating body of online gambling.
