France has the home pitch advantage throughout the entire Euro 2016 tournament and we have already seen that they will be the team to beat in Group A this year. Say what you will about Didier Deschamps squad, the French are definitely here to win. Their week 2 matchup tonight against the team that has eluded them in the last two meetings is crucial, but team France looks ready to win and focus on their following match against Switzerland.
Deschamps is expected to stay with the same roster that beat Romania on the first day of the tournament. The only change that we could see, might be putting Moussa Sissoko into the midfield, but that would only be known at the beginning of the match.
Albania will be without their Captain, Lorik Cana following his removal from their first match against Switzerland. They will need to find a way to beat a strong French squad without their main player, which will be easier said than done. Albania beat France in their last meeting almost a year ago to the day, but Deschamps is confident his team will win and win big tonight.
I guess the only thing that France needs to do is play more together as a team. They haven't really played any competitive matches as a team in two years, but they are coming along very well and are far out in front for tonight's match. France are 4-1-1 against Albania in their last six meetings, but expect that record to improve to 5-1-1 after a victory tonight. Expect key goals from Olivier Giroud who has score eight goals in his last six starts for Les Bleus, but it would be nice to see them start the match with a bit more intensity, rather than beginning to turn up the heat in the second half.
