Euro 2016: Group C Top Spot is on The Line as Northern Ireland Meets Germany

Top spot in Group C is on the line, as the final matches in week 3 continue this evening at 17:00 GMT.

Germany currently resides in top spot in Group C with four points after beating the Ukraine in Week 1, but drawing with Poland in Week 2. They have not looked like the best team in the Euro 2016, but they definitely have the talent and depth to win it all. Tonight, the face Northern Ireland and a win would mean first place in the group (currently on goals for and against), but a draw could put them in second place behind Poland if the Polish team beats Ukraine in the corresponding match.

Northern Ireland have been the underdog story of the Euro 2016. After losing a heartbreaking match to Poland in their opening match, but beat Ukraine 2-0 in week 2. The team have the chance to play spoiler for the German squad and Head Coach Michael O'Neill says that his team will give it everything they have to beat Germany today. If Northern Ireland can beat the German team, they will win the group, which would be a historic event. Even qualifying for the Euro 2016 was a shocker for the team but Germany will be their biggest test yet.

Germany is expecting a lot more chances in today's match, which is not a good thing for the N. Ireland side. Although the team has a ton of respect for Northern Ireland, but at the end of the day, it is Germany's match to lose. Expect a big win by the German squad with at least 2 goals for their efforts.
