As drivers of growth, Schollenberger cited plans for further expansion such as the impending ground-breaking of the Cyprus Integrated Casino Resort and a scheduled opening of a temporary casino in June, along with expansion of sports betting through the National Betting Association’s proposed amendment to the Betting Law 2012 to make the Republic of Cyprus all the more attractive as a market for licensed operators.
Schollenberger concluded by calling the Conference “a unique forum for the gambling industry and its consultants and suppliers to network and exchange views.”
Among the event highlights were the opening remarks from the chair along with a welcome from Cyprus National Betting Authority Chairwoman Ioanna Fiakkou and Invest Cyprus’s Michalis P. Michael.
An insightful presentation on “Investing in Cyprus” from George Campanella followed. Later an interesting session with Edgeless’ Tomas Draksas provoked many with a discussion on “Virtual world economy merging with ‘real world’ Economy.”
Other presenters with fascinating information included iSignthis’ John Karantzis, speaking on KYC, and Andrew Pearson of Intelligencia speaking on “Using Machine Learning and AI for customer intelligence and real-time personalization marketing,” and on and on.
With an agenda so loaded with insight it is impossible to describe, Cyprus Gaming Show became a true must-attend industry event.
