Eventus Brings Cyprus to the Forefront of iGaming on the Second Go-round of CGE

Promoter Eventus International are thrilled to announce the success of the second Cyprus Gaming Show and the establishment of the conference brand.
Couldn’t Be Happier
Eventus International was overwhelmed with the proceedings, driven by event highlights such as Table Talk Cyprus themed on Responsible Gaming by guest speaker Isobel John.
She further effused that the show an “exciting place” with “a wealth of interesting speakers and information about Cyprus gaming and its future.”
Yudi Too
Eventus head Yudi Soetjiptadi was also pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the show from May 29-30th 2018 at Grand Resort Limassol, lauding the tremendous support received from the National Betting Authority of the Republic of the Cyprus.
Yudi further thanked “all the sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and participants of CGS 2018,” and promised to further build on the second edition’s success with the announcement that the event would take place next year on May 20 and 21st, 2019 at Hilton Cyprus, Nicosia, with the theme "Capitalising Gaming and Sports Betting Opportunities" and led by the Masterclass "Getting into the gaming industry – your career starts here."
Chairman Speaks
Healys LLP Partner and London Head of Gaming David Schollenberger and Chairman of this year’s Cyprus Gaming Show called this year’s event “bigger and better than ever.”
Future Growth in Cyprus
As drivers of growth, Schollenberger cited plans for further expansion such as the impending ground-breaking of the Cyprus Integrated Casino Resort and a scheduled opening of a temporary casino in June, along with expansion of sports betting through the National Betting Association’s proposed amendment to the Betting Law 2012 to make the Republic of Cyprus all the more attractive as a market for licensed operators.
Schollenberger concluded by calling the Conference “a unique forum for the gambling industry and its consultants and suppliers to network and exchange views.”
Highlights
Among the event highlights were the opening remarks from the chair along with a welcome from Cyprus National Betting Authority Chairwoman Ioanna Fiakkou and Invest Cyprus’s Michalis P. Michael.
An insightful presentation on “Investing in Cyprus” from George Campanella followed. Later an interesting session with Edgeless’ Tomas Draksas provoked many with a discussion on “Virtual world economy merging with ‘real world’ Economy.”
Other presenters with fascinating information included iSignthis’ John Karantzis, speaking on KYC, and Andrew Pearson of Intelligencia speaking on “Using Machine Learning and AI for customer intelligence and real-time personalization marketing,” and on and on.

With an agenda so loaded with insight it is impossible to describe, Cyprus Gaming Show became a true must-attend industry event.
