Leading iGaming software developer Evoplay has put emergency relocation plans into effect as the situation in Ukraine continues to unravel. In addition, the company has pledged substantial funds towards the humanitarian effort in the war-ravaged nation.
Top-tier casino game developer, Evoplay recently announced the implementation of its emergency contingency plans vis-a-vis its Ukrainian team members. Evoplay is comprised of a large number of Ukrainian team members, many of whom are in clear and present danger. However, now that Evoplay has relocated to a safe zone, it is ready to continue providing services to operators.
The Russia/Ukraine conflagration erupted on 24 February 2022. Since then, this game development studio has relocated 15% of its workforce to Cyprus. This week, it has also arranged living and working facilities next to its new office, which opened in L’viv, Ukraine. The latter facility is geared towards employees who wish to remain in the country. In addition, Evoplay and its many partners, including internal and external stakeholders, routinely support charitable causes, notably those for the Ukrainian people and humanitarian efforts.
A Staff Fund for the Safety & Wellbeing of Team Members
Evoplay recently established a charitable fund for all of its staff members. As a result, the Ukraine-based team will have complete logistical and financial support to relocate to the safest regions in the country. If team members wish to relocate to Cyprus, this remains an option. Many of Evoplay’s staff have already lent their support to the relief & volunteer efforts. In addition, Evoplay has granted unlimited leave of absence and financial assistance for its team members involved in humanitarian efforts.
All Evoplay operations will continue from the new European locations, with contingency plans to allow the studio to make good on its 2022 game development plans. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Evoplay, Ivan Kravchuk, commented on these social responsibility initiatives,
‘As a Ukrainian company at heart, and true advocates of world peace, we cannot stand idle at such a challenging time and have pledged to support the Ukrainian relief effort in any way we can. We will channel every resource we have at our disposal into efforts to rehouse our Ukraine-based team members. Supporting the wider needs of Ukraine during such a dark time in our history is the least we could do, and we pledge to do everything we can to support humanitarian efforts on the ground as the situation develops. We thank all of our friends and partners for their kind words of support.’
