F1 Bahrain Grand Prix: Preview, Odds, And Favorites

A Ferrari and a Mercedes are favored winning the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, which starts Sunday, March 31 16:10 GMT.
The F1 Bahrain Grand Prix kicks off this Sunday as the fastest cars in the world take to the track in this annual motorsport extravaganza. All of the world's leading F1 teams will be in the pits this weekend working on last-minute tweaks to their engines in hopes of going a few kilometers faster than their rivals. Mercedes is favored to win the Grand Prix after taking the glory away from Ferrari at the Australia GP a couple of weeks ago.
Germany vs. Italy?
Essentially, we have a fight between Mercedes and Ferrari. Both teams are in great form, perhaps the German carmaker is slightly better, but lest we forget that Sebastian Vettel, for Ferrari, is the best driver on the Bahrain track of any other in the history of the world. That being said, Lewis Hamilton, has shown that he is still number 1 with a huge performance in Australia leaving Vettel 0.7s behind in the qualifying pole time. It will be interesting to watch the free practice this weekend to see how Ferrari looks.
Mercedes is not only limited to Hamilton, as Valtteri Bottas appears to have the best chances of a solid pole position on Sunday, and, he might even win outright. Bottas won in Australia, and he has competed extremely well in Bahrain since 2017.
There are other teams that could also win, but, since Red Bull has gone hybrid, and their V6 engines have not been enough. Honda Power also has a solid driver and car, but they haven't had a pole finish since Vettel drove for them in 2012. It has been an illustrious career for Vettel in Bahrain with more wins than anyone else. He won with Red Bull and Ferrari respectively, so it is obvious that his talent and quick reflexes have given him the edge on the competition in Bahrain. Ferrari, in general, has won six times in Bahrain over the year's, while Mercedes has won three times. The Italians have also been faster than Mercedes on this track, recording over 100 faster laps than Mercedes.
The only other driver to win in Bahrain on the 2019 grid is Lewis Hamilton having won in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
F1 Bahrain Odds and Betting
The fastest track in the world this Sunday will also have the fastest betting slips with bet365 Sports and 888 Sport offering odds on this big Grand Prix. At bet365 Sports, Lewis Hamilton is the favorite to win outright at 2.37. 888 Sport has him as an even bigger favorite at 2.10. The second-best is Valtteri Bottas with a 3.50 at bet365 and a 3.00 at 888 Sport. Punters should notice the odds difference on the third-best, as there is quite a difference between the two sportsbooks. In third at bet365 is Vettel at 4.00, while in third at 888 Sport is Max Verstappen at 6.00. Vettel at 888 is only tied for third at 6.00.
