Liverpool face League Two promotion candidates Plymouth tonight at Home Park in the second leg of their FA Cup meeting. Plymouth are not in very good shape tonight and will need to play without their striker David Goodwillie and they will also be without Connor Smith, leaving two big holes in their roster.
Jurgen Klopp will most-likely change things up in this second leg, as Plymouth miraculously held the Reds to a 0-0 draw at Anfield on January 8. Klopp named the youngest starting roster in the team's history in that first leg and now must win away in order to advance and face the Wolves on the 28th of January in the Fourth Round.
The Pilgrims played a great match at Anfield, but it is unlikely that they will have much luck against the real Liverpool starting roster, which is what they will get tonight. The only players that are out of the mix will be Nathaniel Clyne and Lucas Leiva. Joel Matip's availability is still a question after talks continue with Cameroon's football association.
Liverpool are one of the winning-most teams to hoist the FA Cup, having doing so on seven occasions. The only teams to do better are Man. U, Arsenal and Tottenham. The Reds' record over the last nine matches has been excellent, losing just one tough match to Southampton in the EFL semi-final last week. Plymouth are also with only one loss in their last nine, with five wins and three draws.
Liverpool will be out to win tonight and they will succeed. A solid bet will be with the Reds to shut out the Pilgrims 2-0.
