Casino Barcelona will host the Live Gaming Summit on 26 April 2018. This year, gender equality and other topics shall be featured in-depth.
Attendees will soon gather in Barcelona for the returning Live Gaming Summit, which was newly established last year. The summit has been arranged for 26 April 2018, at which point a whole host of industry specialists shall arrive at Casino Barcelona to discuss the live gaming niche.
Raising Appeal for Female Players
For 2018, the summit intends to address the pressing topic of gender equality. Organisers have drawn significant inspiration from Sarah Harrison, who used to serve as CEO for the UK Gambling Commission. Earlier in the year, at ICE Totally Gaming, Harrison warned gambling operators that they risked alienating their potential female player base.
Online gambling has previously been viewed as male-driven, but Harrison used ICE as an opportunity to question why they were struggling to attract women. Karolina Pelc of LeoVegas shares Harrison’s sentiment, while has also cautioned fellow operators to consider the depth of experience rather than image alone.
Speakers and Schedule
Pelc will serve as one of the central speakers for the summit and shall be joined by a variety of fellow industry professionals. Kfir Kugler shall visit from Ezugi, Kevin Kilminster from Playtech, Tom de Bruin from Unibet, Rob Wheeler from Medialive Casino, and plenty of others are yet to be revealed.
Next to female players, the speakers shall also sound off on a range of topics. In summary, Barcelona shall provide coverage on land-based casinos engaging in streaming, TV gaming, localisation, private tables, product development, virtual reality dealers, and regulatory challenges in Europe.
Beyond the keynote speeches, presentations, and panels, there will also be networking opportunities geared towards encouraging one-on-one dialogue. All of this has been supported through the assistance of the event sponsors, which include NetEnt, Playtech, Evolution Gaming, Ezugi, Medialive, Vivo, and Authentic Gaming as some of the most experienced live casino software providers in the world.
