When discussing the deal, Finnplay vice president of sales Erkki Nikunen explained that “Africa is a rapidly expanding market for sports betting.” And to aid land-based operations, Finnplay’s BillFold Kiosk platform “is designed for any form of gaming at a physical location.” Betting software was also integrated from betinaction in crafting Simplebet’s entire solution.
Simplebet managing director Ernest Badu had the following to say about the deal: “We needed to scale the business and select a technology partner with expertise within retail sports betting.” Simplebet has been providing its sports betting service in Ghana for a number of years now, so this represents a key strategic decision for the future of the operator.
