Italian online gamblers can now enjoy live casino hold'em
The last couple of years have seen many firsts for Italian online gambling and now we can add another one to that list - the first ever live casino game directed solely at the Italian market.
Live Casino Hold'em
Evolution Gaming this week launched a new live casino hold'em table for Lottomatica, the first live casino game to be certified by Italian regulator AAMS and go live. The live casino hold'em game is available on PC and Mac with an iPad version set to be released later in the year.
Gionata La Torre, CEO of Evolution Italy, was understandably excited by the release, saying that he was proud to have worked with Lottomatica to bring a first for the local online gambling market. He added that the launch underlines "our shared commitment" to delivering the best live gaming experience across multiple channels.
Italian Online Gambling Growth
Italy's online gambling market has experienced tremendous growth in the past 12 months, according to AAMS. Online casino revenue reached an estimated €130 million last year, while experts believe current trends will see the market grow to around €400m a year in the near future.
It is not hard to see why with firms like Lottomatica, Italy's national lottery company, expanding so aggressively. Earlier this year Lottomatica released web-based live roulette and a live casino TV show for Italian iPad owners, screened directly from special tables at Evolution studios.
