Johnson, the star running back for the Titans and the Cardinals has become a brand ambassador for BetMGM.
BetMGM has been busy signing former sports stars as brand ambassadors. We recently reported Kevin Garnett joining BetMGM to go along with other names like NHL GOAT Wayne Gretzky and comedian Bill Burr.
Under this new agreement, Johnson will be featured in promotions, marketing campaigns, across social media channels, and at special fan events.
Johnson spent 10 seasons in the NFL and was the starting running back for the Tennessee Titans and the Arizona Cardinals. In a press release, BetMGM has said that Johnson will be focused on those US states.
An All-Star Ambassador
Johnson, who had an illustrious career, rushed for 2,006 yards for Tennessee, which put him in the elite group of running backs to have rushed 2,000 yards in a single season. That feat earned him the nickname 'CJ2K', which also gave him Offensive Player of the Year. He was a Pro Bowl selection in each of his first three years in the league.
“I’m excited to join the BetMGM team and to have a new platform to engage with CJ2K fans around the country,” Johnson commented. “BetMGM is at the forefront of the excitement surrounding sports betting and is a perfect fit for me to get involved in this rapidly growing industry.”
BetMGM’s chief revenue officer Matt Prevost said: “Throughout his career, Chris Johnson thrilled fans with his performance on the football field, week in and week out. As we continue to expand BetMGM’s presence in Arizona and Tennessee, Chris will play a key role in helping us provide new and engaging experiences for our customers.”
