Application is the first to be compatible with Android 2.2 smartphone.
Full Tilt Poker has joined the rush to satisfy demand for Android gaming applications, launching the first official poker game for the device that players can bet money on.
The Rush Poker game was released on the weekend for users of the Android 2.2 exclusively, requiring Adobe Flash to run.
Thousands of Android 2.2 owners have already begun using the application, which requires that they sign up an account and deposit some initial playing money. The good news is that Full Tilt is celebrating this new addition with a welcome bonus of 100% in free playing money, up to a maximum of $600.
Android GamingAlthough this is the first real money poker game to be made available on the Android, it follows the recent launch by several mobile casinos of other games for the device.
A couple of weeks ago we reported that Royal Vegas and Platinum Play are now offering games including blackjack, roulette, video poker, baccarat, keno and slots for the Android, which was developed by the Google-owned Android inc. to compete with Apple's iPhone.
Full Tilt and main rival PokerStars are both still yet to release iPhone-compatible applications, but the mobile gaming battleground continues to heat up and new releases are being announced by gaming companies every week.
