Game of the Week: NFL Sunday Night ShowdownPublished December 14, 2014 by Sol FH
Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles live tonight at 1:30 (UK) for top spot in the NFC East.
They are the biggest rivalry in the NFC east and they have identical win/loss records coming into Week 15 at 9-4, only separated by points for and against, but after tonight, there will be an outright leader in the division. With the playoffs getting closer every week, each win is crucial in this late stage and both of these teams have a serious chance of a berth.
Last time the Eagles met the Cowboys was only in Week 13 and Philadelphia beat the Boys 33-10. Tony Romo and the Cowboys turned it around last week against the Bears, winning 41-28, but the Eagles loss is still fresh in his mind and playing in Philadelphia this week is not something he is looking forward to.
Plan of Attack
The Cowboys have the best rush game in the NFL, with DeMarco Murray getting 32 carries last week for 179 yards, including nine catches. Head Coach Jason Garrett had some short, but sweet advice for his RB, “Just get away from it a little bit, get refreshed, recharged and get ready to get back to work,” with regards to tonight’s game against the Eagles. Murray is 369 yards better than 2nd place Le’Veon Bell and has 41 more carries than LeSean McCoy.
The Eagles are looking like real contenders this season, even with the bumps they have had along the road. Even with last week’s loss to the Seahawks at home, the Eagles are refreshed, healthy and look to make a statement against the Cowboys tonight.
