Gaming Operators Recognised With Advanced eCOGRA Certification

The eCOGRA program is growing, and so are the vital certifications.
A new ECOGRA ISO/IEC 27001 certifications will be awarded to Kindred Group.

Formerly Unibet, Kindred is one of the companies that will be realize the benefits of ISO/IEC 27001 certification from accredited testing laboratory eCOGRA for compliance with the international information security standards of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC (ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards for Information Security Management Systems).
The Award
Kindred Group joins a select group of online gambling organisations to achieve the prestigious certification in recognition of the commitment they have shown to protecting customer and stakeholder data.
The eCOGRA Campaign
This is part of a greater initiative revealed by eCOGRA CEO Shaun McCallaghan, whose organisation is experiencing significant demand for accredited ISO/IEC 27001 certification as the online gambling industry becomes increasingly regulated. According to McCallaghan:
"It is evident that many online gambling regulators have already moved towards requiring license holders, as well as their relevant software suppliers, to obtain ISO/IEC 27001 certification, and these licensing jurisdictions are prepared to waive certain security auditing requirements if the relevant parties are ISO/IEC 27001 certified.”
Certification Benefits
The new certification ostensibly clears the path to licensing while opening a faster route to market for these operators and software suppliers; as eCOGRA continues to invest in an extensive information security supporting the ISO/IEC 27001 auditing and certification team.
Existing Group
Further companies are under consideration for licensing under eCOGRA ISO/IEC 27001 compliance reviews to join companies such as bet365, Betway and Bede Gaming with certification.
